Beyond the 9-to-5: Navigating the Path to Work-Life Equilibrium

I embarked on my career growth journey alongside Kerlyn and Team GGO in August 2022, seeking new opportunities that would afford me a better work-life equilibrium and the freedom to pursue my passions.

Navigating Challenges to finding work-life equilibrium:

In the initial four months of this journey job hunting proved challenging, prompting a hiatus. Balancing personal desires with the demands of the job market seemed unlikely, and I considered leaving my passions unexplored.

However, Kerlyn and Team GGO provided an alternate perspective, emphasising that if I didn't put in the effort, no one else would help me move forward.

Thus, I recommitted to the job search, prioritising roles that offered greater personal time.

Milestones of Dedication:

Throughout this journey, Kerlyn imparted invaluable strategies for strengthening my social movement to change the world. 

In March 2023, the Singapore Kindness Movement acknowledged my efforts, and by September 2023, a social media agency approached me to join them as an influencer. These milestones filled me with pride, signifying exceptional dedication to my passion.

Kerlyn's mentorship held me accountable and paved the way for achieving my goals. It has become second nature, fostering fulfilment in my personal life while successfully securing a new job.

Unveiling Transformation:

Summing up this transformative journey with Kerlyn and Team GGO in one word—Unbelievable. Kerlyn reshaped my perspective, affirming that investing time in personal passions is worthwhile. In a year, I achieved a 20% time savings in my work, redirecting it towards other pursuits.

Kerlyn, characterised by empathy, measured guidance, and vision, assisted in breaking down my goals into achievable milestones. Reflecting on the journey, I realise that a more open communication about discomfort could have expedited the process, as Team GGO readily adapts to individual paces and offers diverse, thoughtful solutions.

Advice for the Contemplative:

For those contemplating coaching, my advice is to keep an open mind. Even if you aren't working directly with someone, their impact on your life can be profound.

Here's to hoping others bravely step forward to experience the transformative magic that Team GGO can infuse into their lives—giving, growing, and optimising their endeavours.
